Major responsiblities:

  • Maintain and improve the contractor safety performance
  • Plan and manage both minor and major capital projects
  • Perform detailed multidiscipline design for minor projects including process, mechanical, electrical, controls as well as construction planning and budgeting to enable the creation of capital requests
  • Comply with local, international as well as company design and construction standard
  • Meet project deadlines by being a results oriented worker who drives for results
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of current and emerging technologies
  • Review and evaluate proposed projects as requested to ensure optimum process and/or technology selection and complete scope inclusion
  • Share and building team knowledge
  • Communicate project details clearly to insure understanding by project stakeholders as well as alignment with plant and business goals
  • Provide technical and/or leadership to task force teams that focus on collaborative optimization to promote manufacturing excellence
  • Provide technical and/or leadership to safety review exercises
  • Control project costs as per budget

Knowledge, Skills and requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably food related industry
  • Minimum of 5 years as a project manager
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of tapioca starch processing a plus but some knowledge of chemical and food processing a must
  • Expert knowledge in Process’ Mechanical and Electrical/Control
  • Analyzing requirements and offering complete solutions
  • Read drawing including Flowsheet, P&ID, Civil, Architectural, Piping, Electrical Single Lines and Loop Diagrams
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite (Words, Excel, Power Point, Project) products as well as AutoCAD)
  • Fluency in written and spoken in English
